About Us
Mission Entertainment Group is the culmination of four companies Mission Artist Management, Mission Publishing and Mission Marketing and Distribution. Our primary goal is the delivery of outstanding music from the writing / recording process, marketing and label management, to actually putting the artists music in the hands and ears of their fans.
The new building houses our offices and two recording studios with the facility to record up to a 14 piece string section in our 30m2 live room. We have incorporated state of the art recording equipment in both studios based around a Protools HD setup.
The business is based in Kingston-Upon-Thames, West London, with direct transport links from Heathrow and London Waterloo. Absolutely perfect for our clients arriving by plane or Eurostar, with two very good reasonably priced hotels within walking distance. This tried and tested formula has worked for many artists including Enrique Iglesias, Katherine Jenkins, Noise Next Door, Ricky Martin, Kylie Minogue, Heather Small, Rod Stewart, Keedie, Tina Turner, Amy Studt, Atomic Kitten and Cher, who have all recorded hit singles and albums in the vicinity.
Non-Executive Chairman
Korda Marshall has over thirty years experience in the music industry working as an A&R Executive and Managing Director. Ten years at RCA Records working within the major label environment, ten years with the independent sector working with Australian based Mushroom Records, building the UK arm of the company and a further ten years as Managing Director of Atlantic Records and then Warner Brother Records.
Over the years he has personally signed many successful artists such as Muse, The Darkness, James Blunt and Gnarls Barkley. He's also worked closely with International artists such as Madonna, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Greenday, and has a solid understanding of the contemporary music marketplace as well as the processes involved in creating and developing successful brands in the new digital landscape.
He currently owns a successful independent record label 'Infectious Music' as well as being a Director of the Official Chart Company (the OCC), the The British Phonographic Industry (the BPI) and the Brits Trust's. He's also on the advisory board of M-flow.
Founder
Sir Harry entered the music business in 1978 as a drummer with several of friends from Crawley College including Rob Smith (The Easy Cure/The Cure). He toured with The Stranglers and The Vapours before being offered a job via EST to hit the road as a Drum Tech for music legends Genesis. He developed through the ranks of teching into tour management; such tours included acts such as The Police, The Passions, TRB, AC-DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Fischer-Z, Gillan, Mammoth, UFO and Saga.
In 1986 Sir Harry opened up his very first Recording Studio called 'The Stone Room' in Shepherds Bush, London, where he worked with The Manic Street Preachers, T'Pau, Geoff Downes, My Bloody Valentine, Captain Sensible and The Damned. He expanded his sphere of activities into working with and managing music producers who included the very noteworthy Nick Griffiths (Pink Floyd) and Ian Caple (The Manic Street Preachers, Tindersticks).
In 1991 Sir Harry set up a new Management company with industry legend Simon Napier-Bell who had worked with The Yardbirds, Marc Bolan, Japan and Wham.
He then expanded into the international arena of Personal Management looking after the careers of Asia, Ultravox, Helen Terry, Toby Bourke (Top 10 with George Michael), Michael Garvin (Co-Writer of 'Never give up on a good thing' and 'Waiting for tonight'), Blue Mercedes, Geoff Downes (The Buggles, YES, GTR and Asia), and Mark Shaw (Then Jerico).
In 2000 Sir Harry joined Rive Droite Music as Director of A&R and within 3 months had taken over and become Managing Director of Production and Music Publishing and was responsible for the premises four recording studios. Rive Droite was responsible for writing and producing hits for Kylie Minogue 'On a night like this', Enrique Iglesias 'Hero' and 'Bailamos', Jimmy Nail 'Ain't no doubt', Cher 'Believe' as well as chart success with Steps, Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Lionel Richie, Andrea Bocelli, Tina Turner, Errol Brown, Rod Stewart and many more.
During his time as Managing Director of Rive Droite Music, he was responsible for a number of major music highlights including signing Classical Brit Award winner Katherine Jenkins, Producer and Songwriter Ben 'Jammin' Robbins (Tina Arena, Heather Small, Katherine Jenkins), Producer and Songwriter Ash Alexander (Debra Stephenson, Amy Studt, Noise Next Door), the French Eurovision 2004 entry with Jonatan Cerrada, productions and cuts on the multi-million selling Russian Super Boyband Smash!! (Universal) and worldwide No.1's including Belgium's Natalia (BMG), Australia's Anthony Callea (Sony BMG), Greece's Mario Frangoulis (Sony Classics), Italy's Earphones (FMA/Universal) and Spain's Bellepop (Warner's) to mention but a few. The company also enjoyed great success thanks to the numerous Television programs like Pop Idols and Pop Stars that enabled the company to have hits in France, USA, Spain, Holland, Belgium, Russia, Australia, Canada, Poland, Hungary.
Sir Harry departed Rive Droite Music at the end of 2005 to head up a new Record, Production, Publishing and Management company called the Private and Confidential Group Ltd. He continued his hits and successes with Australian Idol winner Anthony Callea, Danish Stars Maria and Michael, Heather Small, Delta Goodrem, Liz McClarnon, Keedie and the English Cricket Team, along with having huge success in the club charts with No1 hit Guilty by De Souza and setting up the massive media campaign for Ryanair involving the one and only Mr Superfly.
Due to a difference of opinion and after 16 years of successful work together Sir Harry's business partner and main writer/producer Ben Robbins (Shola Ama / Errol Brown / Katherine Jenkins) decided he wanted to scale the business down. At this point Harry was approached to start up a new publishing venture alongside Imagem Music and took the decision to form a new company and in July 2009, Mission Publishing Ltd and Mission Recordings Ltd were born. These companies have now expanded further and become the Mission Entertainment Group Ltd covering such areas as Publishing, Artist Management, Record Label, Marketing and Distribution, Music Production and Management. In March 2013 Mission Productions won a year long contract with the LVH ( Formerly The Las Vegas Hilton) with the show "Raiding the Rock Vault" which has been Number 1 on Tripadvisor and is the talk of Las Vegas. In June, Mission Publishing signed a Worldwide, joint venture, deal with Music Publishers 'Notting Hill Music'.
